The head of a company survived 9/11 because
His son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was
His turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her
Alarm clock didn’t go off in time.
One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike
Because of an auto accident.
One of them
Missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take
Time to change.
Car wouldn’t start.
One couldn’t
Get a taxi.
The one that struck me was the man
Who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
Took the various means to get to work but before.
He got there, he developed a blister on his foot.
He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today..
Now when I am
Stuck in traffic,
Miss an elevator,
Turn back to answer a ringing telephone…
All the little things that annoy me,
I think to myself,
This is exactly where
I’m meant to be
At this very moment

Happy birthday king 👑

I used to listen to him loads when I was younger and when he died it affected me more than my uncle dying. Michael was a huge inspiration for me when I was growing up and he still is. I remember sitting in my mums room with mum that night and my brother Ashley came through the door and said “Michael Jackson’s died”. My mum laughed and said to stop joking and he said “I’m not. I heard it on the radio on the way home”.

My mum went quiet right then and I just got out of bed and ran downstairs to turn on the tv. It was streaming all along the news. Regurgitating information over and over, every now and then spitting out new pieces of information about the situation. I remember my mum just watching the TV, not even blinking as I was sat there with my fingers crossed, hoping that they would give an update and say that they managed to resuscitate him. But they never did. Michael was such a massive part in my life and people don’t even realise
